 Aotearoa's Reconciliation Cry

To all Rabbi’s, Pastors, Leaders of Aotearoa – New Zealand,

My prayer is that this is received in the way that it is given, to move your hearts with regards this nation’s state of heart towards Israel and to come together in unity so that restoration through reconciliation begins.

I, Janine Smith, hereby present to you a Covenant Agreement on behalf of many synagogues, congregations, churches and ministries within Aotearoa – New Zealand. This is an agreement that will be presented on your behalf to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and also Dr Itzhak Gerberg, our Israel Ambassador to New Zealand in Yerushalayim. I am currently in discussions with the Israel Embassy in Wellington and also with a dear friend of my husband’s and I, Danny Ayalon,  who was the former Deputy Foreign Minister in Israel from 2009 to 2013, as well as a former Israel Ambassador to the United States with regards obtaining these appointments. At this stage I do have a confirmed appointment with Dr Gerberg but am awaiting the one with PM Binyamin Netanyahu. I am being accompanied by Jacqueline Te Huia and my husband Lindsay. The journey officially begins on the 15th of Adar /  13th of March although I will be in the Land from the 4th of Adar / 2nd of March.  Ideally it would be wonderful if you could respond to this email by the 11th of Adar / 9th of March.

We believe that this will be a big step towards the healing of Aotearoa’s broken relationship with Israel and therefore ask that if you are in agreement with this Holy Covenant Agreement then please reply to this email so that your name and organization will be added to this growing list. We love Israel and all her people hence this burden of which needs to be carried. Our role is to repent if we have done wrong and to seek forgiveness and be reconciled and make restitution to the one we have wronged. This brings blessing and healing in its wake. As the New Zealand government is incapable of doing so at this time then we, who love the G-d of Avraham, Yitzhak and Yaacov, and with Him backing us and going before us, therefore identify with the heartache of Israel and have been given the responsibility to do so for the sake of His Kingdom, the sake of Israel and the sake of Aotearoa – New Zealand.

We thank you ahead of time for your response and once you have replied we will ensure that you will be kept informed of this journey. If you would also like to send this to any one whom you feel would like to be a part of this covenant agreement then please do so at your discretion.

May you all be truly blessed by HaShem and may you know that His ways are truly not ours so when He asks for us to respond to His heart with regards Israel then the best way is surely to be obedient.

Adonai have mercy on Aotearoa – New Zealand and hold back Your judgement as we, who bear Your Name, humble ourselves, pray, seek Your face, repent and turn from our wicked ways so that You will hear from Heaven, forgive our sin and heal our land. ( Divrei-HaYamim Bet 7:14 /  2 Chronicles 7 :14)

Shalom and Arohanui (with love)
