July Meeting

President, Hadassah International New Zealand

Jenny will be talking on the work done by the Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem. Patients at the Hadassah Hospital include Jews & Arabs.


Our August Meeting – 20 August

will be a personalised tour of the Auckland Synagogue and talk by Rabbi Friedler.

This will be a joint fund raising Event by the Committee of Hadassah & the Israel Focus Group toward a New Zealand Room at Hadassah Hospital Jerusalem.


Jenny will be discussing how we can participate in the Fund raising for this NZ Room & will have further details in her talk this  Sunday.


For those who are from out of town or who are unable to come to this Sunday’s Meeting, we will email you next week with advice on how you and your friends  will be able to contribute to establishing this New Zealand Room.

The Valda Knight Memorial Scholarship to Israel

Hadassah International in New Zealand invites people working in the health sector or students studying for health sector qualifications in New Zealand to apply for the 2017/2018

Valda Knight Memorial Scholarship. This is aimed to help them fund their own programme of study (in their specified area of interest) at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem, Israel.

Background information and an application form are available on the Hadassah website.

The scholarship carries an award of a return economy class fare (valued at $2000) to Israel plus a grant of $1500.00. Full terms and conditions of the award are on the application form.

APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2017/2018 award close on August 31 2017.
