IFG Meeting August 13 2017
Unfortunately Stan Goodenough had Visa problems getting from South Africa to New Zealand and was unable to be present today. His shoes were very ably filled by Bryce Turner who is now National Executive Director for Christians for Israel New Zealand. Bryce spoke broadly about his background and the family experiences which have led up to his current role, but with many detailed insights from his experiences in Israel and in the church generally, where he has filled many leadership roles. Bryce also discussed the need to get the young involved and shared some great stories about his own children and their understanding and willingness to share and argue with their friends against the anti Israel disinformation so prevalent in the media.
Liz Moffat followed with her usual passion and fire and gave us more reflections on the work of Mayim Chaim, and also the work of Jacob Damkani and Trumpets of Salvation to Israel. She also referenced upcoming tours to Israel and repeated a theme of Bryce’s, that being in the Holy Land and standing in the places so important for our faith is a ‘must do.’
Rob Dean closed in prayer and supper followed as usual, with a lot of positive networking over cups of tea and coffee.
